Wooden elephant leads Victoria police to massive cache of stolen goods
In a surprising turn of events, a wooden elephant has led Victoria Police officers to a massive stash of stolen goods worth an estimated $100,000.
A suspect, known to police, grabbed a carved wooded elephant from Hillside Mall on June 10th.
The investigation led the officers to the suspect and two other people, as well as a massive cache of goods discovered.
Among the stolen items were a large number of dolls, bed linens, statues and electronics.
Several theft-related charges are now pending.
Police are asking anyone who may be the victim of these thefts to contact them so the items can be returned to their owners.
