Sooke fire crews were called into action for a rope rescue Saturday afternoon, after a man fell from a cliff at the Sooke Potholes.
The call came in a little after 4:30pm Saturday. The man was reported to have fallen about 30 metres, near the Old Lodge site at the park.
He was conscious but suffering ‘significant’ head injuries when crews reached him and was hauled out in a basket before being transported to hospital by air ambulance.
There’s no word on his age or current condition.
This rescue comes just two weeks after a woman died when falling off a cliff, also at the Sooke Potholes.
