WATCH: The CRD’s Galloping Goose Trail will offer a little something more than a perfect place to walk or cycle this coming weekend.
It will serve as the venue for a popular, annual theatre festival.
Victoria’s Theatre Skam will showcase 12 different performance groups in this year’s “Skampede”.
It’s an outdoor festival with various mini-performances by local theatre and dance companies and some from across the country.
“Audiences start at the hub down on Harbour Road,” says co-producer, Chase Heibert, “that’s sort of the central meeting place where everything starts.”
From there audiences will depart in groups of 12.
They’ll see three shows on a tour and then they can come back to the hub and go on another tour.
“Skampede” kicks off Friday night with a three-course dinner, followed by a preview performance of all 12 shows.
Saturday and Sunday performances run between noon and 6 pm.
