Sidney’s Mary Winspear Centre hosts Vintage, Retro and Collectible Show and Sale

They say some things get better with age.

And that was certainly the case at the Vintage, Retro and Collectible Show and Sale in Sidney.

Hundreds came to the Mary Winspear Centre to take a look at items from past generations.

Everything from mid-century furniture, to jewelry from the fifties and sixties, to seventies pop-culture collectibles was on display.

Josie Jones, organizer of the event, says it’s a great way to repurpose old items, while capturing the mood and wonder of other decades.

“When you come to a show like this, you have to have an open mind, and it’s always like a treasure trove, you have to really drill down and look.

“And sometimes there’ll be something that absolutely hits the spot for you where it really tickles your fancy!” Jones adds with a smile.

The Vintage, Retro and Collectible Show and Sale began twenty-three years ago, and has since grown into a major event.

If you missed this one, mark your calendars. The next one takes place on September 3rd.
