The Victoria Royals made history in Kelowna tonight.
A 7-4 win over the Rockets gave the franchise its first ever Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy,
and the first WHL regular season crown for the city since since the 1980-81 Victoria Cougars.
It was an 11th win a row for the Royals.
Alex Forsberg lead the way with two goals, his 29th and 30th of the season, and two assists.
Tyler Soy also picked up four points including his team-leading 42nd goal.
The Royals now have 48 wins and 102 points with two games left to play.
They wrap up the regular season with a home-and-home series against the Everett Silvertips beginning Friday.
Their final regular season game goes Saturday at 7:05pm at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.
The Royals will kick-off the playoffs next Friday and Saturday at home, their opponent is still to be determined.
