The Royal visit is forcing one Victoria charity to change its fund raising plans.
The Cool Aid Society had planned to stage a gala event here on ship point in Victoria’s Inner Harbour on October first. but that’s the same day William, Kate and the kids will be leaving Victoria.
To say good bye, a major public send off is planned for the Inner Harbour. and that has made Cool Aid organizers re-think their plans.
Al Rycroft from the Cool-Aid Society says the decision was made to make it easier for everyone.
“We had some concerns for our guests would there be parking could they even access the site would we be still pushing furniture around when they arrive.
Instead of putting on a mediocre event we want to put on a great event for everybody.
So we’ve made the decision to put in on in May instead of October first as we originally planned.”
Organizers say moving the event to next may will actually give them much more time to sell tickets and sponsorships.
