Campbell River Airport
The province is spending more than $8 million dollars for infrastructure improvements at community and regional airports in B.C. including here on Vancouver Island.
Alberni Valley Regional Airport will get more than $700,000 for runway lighting.
More than $900,000 will go towards an airport fuel facility at Campbell River Airport.
Comox Valley Airport will get a much smaller amount, $35,000, for apron repairs.
The province says these types of projects allow airports to improve safety, accommodate larger aircraft and more frequent flights, and support the growth of local economies.
