A small plane crash in Powell River Monday morning has claimed the life of the pilot of a Piper twin-engine aircraft who has not been identified
The pilot of a small plane is dead after a crash in Powell River this morning.
The Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre says the plane crashed near an intersection around 11:30 this morning.
Ambulance crews were able to get to the scene quickly because the plane went down in a central location on Joyce Avenue near a Safeway grocery store.
The pilot’s identity has not been released.
Hachey says the plane was a Piper twin-engine aircraft, and there’s no word yet on what caused the crash.
