City says snake will be put up for adoption
Four days have passed since Victoria’s infamous “snake in a drain” was finally captured, and the city says no one has come forward yet to claim it.
Following typical animal control guidelines, the owners of the five foot long corn snake were given 96 hours to claim their reptile.
But the clock has now run out and nobody has stepped forward.
The city says the animal will remain on its impounded animals web page for a little longer, with the hopes of a reunion.
Otherwise, it will be put up for adoption.
