Motorhome destroyed in fire in downtown Nanaimo

WatchA fire destroyed a motorhome in downtown Nanaimo on Dec. 9, 2019.

A fire destroyed a motorhome, which was parked in downtown Nanaimo on Monday afternoon, and displaced two people.

According to Nanaimo Fire Rescue, the fire broke out just after 2 p.m. in a RV parked on Esplanade Street in Nanaimo.

Firefighters were able to respond quickly but the fire spread through the motorhome.

No injuries were reported but the two people who were using the motorhome to permanently live in are now homeless.
