Teens narrow their focus on a three month ‘real world’ project.
15 year old Aeden & 17 year old Kennedy, students at the forward thinking Pacific School of Innovation & Inquiry, chose a photography studio as their business project for the spring semester.
They had to do it all…set up a studio, acquire equipment, all of the business materials needed & learn as much as possible about managing a business in a very short time.
And the one thing that jumped out for both was the realization, “…people don’t just walk in off the street & say ‘Hey, I wanna have my picture taken'” according to Aeden. Kennedy echoed that thought admitting they had underestimated the importance of marketing but they have upped their game now with pages on Facebook & Twitter & Instagram.
It’s a fun story about being fully immersed in the business world and a great learning experience of “doing it” instead of “talking about it”.
