Island WHL goalie gets drafted, then traded

After a breakout season in the WHL, Lantzville’s Dylan Ferguson had his sights on the NHL draft.

Dylan was drafted in the seventh and final round by the Dallas Stars. Within days of the draft, Dylan got his first taste of the hockey business. The 18-year-old was traded in a package to the Las Vegas Golden Knights where he joined the expansion franchise for prospect camp, his first taste of the next level.
