Island athletes continue medal push at Canada Games

Young athletes from Vancouver Island have played a pivotal role in Team BC’s success at the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg.

A few highlights in recent competitions include Courtenay’s Gillian Ellsay capturing gold in the cycling time trial, Jessica Lou of Victoria winning four medals in swimming and Mill Bay’s Tristan Mandur bringing home bronze in men’s golf.

Team BC sits third in the overall medal standings.
