It’s been almost two weeks since a pair of barges ran aground in the waters off Dallas Road, and latest efforts to remove the second barge have failed.
A crane barge was brought in to transfer debris from a recent refit of the Coho ferry off the stranded barge.
But during that process the crane became damaged.
It was towed to the Ogden Point ship yard to be repaired.
It is on its way back to the scene.
A marine surveyor is there to help ensure the barge and debris is removed in a safe and environmentally responsible way.
