HarbourCats ace Jack Owen shut down for season

CHEK

With only five regular season games remaining, the Victoria HarbourCats will have to overcome a major pitching setback in order to make the West Coast League playoffs.

Nineteen-year-old ace Jack Owen has been shut down for the rest of the season by his college team, the Auburn Tigers. Owen is among the league’s leaders in several categories, including ERA (1.01).

It’s being reported that the Tigers baseball officials shut down Owen due to a heavy workload this summer.
