Campbell River firefighters made quick work of a fire that broke out at a car dealership Tuesday afternoon.
Crews were called to Campbell River Hyundai on Meredith Road near Island Highway at around 1 p.m.
The fire apparently started as a vehicle fire in the dealership’s shop before spreading to the building.
Heavy smoke poured from the dealership’s windows as crews worked to put it out. The fire appeared to mostly be out as of 1:20 p.m.
At least four fire engines attended as well as one ambulance, but no one appeared to require treatment, according to a CHEK News reporter on scene.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, but Campbell River Fire said it occurred in a vehicle that was on a hoist in the service area.
