A signature Comox Valley event drew people in droves this long weekend, celebrating the unique Filberg festival.
Now in its 34th year, music and art in all forms are the mainstay of the event at the Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park in Comox.
The festival has become a popular tradition in the valley. This year’s edition featured the music of Alex Cuba among others, and growing crowds suggest the event is only getting better with age.
“It’s a four-day festival and by all accounts this is going to be a good record year,” said organizer Wendy Sears. “Tourism appears to be up in the Comox Valley, so we’re seeing good numbers come through the gate.”
