Many music fans were torn tonight, between wanting to see the Hip down town or head west for one of the biggest island festivals of the summer.
It’s also Rock the Shores weekend on the West Shore. Fans, with lawn chairs and sun hats in tow are beginning to gather on the grounds of the west shore parks and rec. 8-10 thousand are expected to swarm to the site over the next three days to hear an impressive assortment of talent.
“tomorrow i’m excited to see the cast of vampires but arkells is up on the list… no jessie roper tonight jessie roper”
city of colour, i already saw them when they came here once and it was wicked so hopefully they can do it again.”
Today’s line-up features plenty of local talent, including Jesse Roper and Malahat.
The first Rock the Shores was held back in 2012, the headliner was none other than the Tragically Hip.
