Another bout of strong wind is forecast on Vancouver Island Wednesday, with an alert issued for the north region.
Environment Canada gave a wind warning for the north Island as a low makes its way northwards.
The weather office says coastal sections should expect southeast winds of 90 kilometres-per-hour developing late this afternoon.
The wind is expected to ease a little Wednesday night with 70 km/h winds forecast.
Environment Canada advises people in the area of possible damage to buildings, such as roof shingles and windows.
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
Although no wind warning has been issued, the Environment Canada forecast shows winds getting up to 80 km/h over coastal sections for the west coast of the Island late this morning and into the afternoon.
A northeast wind is also forecast to bring 60 km/h gusts near the water for the south coast and the Southern Gulf Islands.
Windy conditions are forecast along the Island’s east coast, as well.
