The strong ridge of high pressure that was protecting the south coast from any weather systems, and keeping the region hot, sunny, and dry, has now broken down.
A weak low pressure system is now circulating over the south coast of BC.
There is a risk of thundershowers for some regions later today or this evening.
Wednesday will bring more clouds with a few showers for some areas.
Skies will clear later in the week, with mainly sunny skies returning by Friday.
