Energy drink giant Red Bull apologied for video
Energy drink giant “Red Bull” has offered an apology and is pulling down a video clip over controversy surrounding a questionable stunt at Kennedy Lake.
As CHEK News first aired Monday, an episode of a Red Bull TV series shows pro surfer Jamie O’Brien and some friends.
The video shows the group lighting a log on fire with gasoline and then O’Brien eating a dead fish.
Local fishing operations manager Josh Temple saw the clip and reported it to BC’s Conservation Service.
A spokesperson for Rred Bull has now responded to temple.
They say it’s come to their attention the stunt was done without permission from BC Parks, and saying they regret it.
The company says it has apologized to BC Parks and taken down the video clip.
