A crash involving a car and a bicycle has sent a cyclist to hospital and closed off a stretch of the main road on Salt Spring Island.
Witness say the driver of the car was turning left into a driveway in the 400-block of Fulford-Ganges Road when the vehicle collided with the cyclist traveling in the opposite direction.
The cyclist has been taken to Lady Minto Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.
The woman driving the car and her two passengers were unharmed.
The road was closed between Charlesworth Road and Cranberry Road for several hours but has since re-opened.
