A crash at the intersection of Fort and Cook streets in Victoria sent a vehicle on its side and badly damaged the other but there were no injuries
Victoria Police are reminding drivers to be on their game this week as students and teachers head back to school.
Even Monday morning, when roads were quiet, a momentary lapse of concentration caused significant damage.
A blue Honda was traveling south when it went through a red light at the intersection of Fort and Cook streets and hit an eastbound Kia.
The impact was so great that the Honda flipped up onto it’s side.
Both vehicles were badly damaged, but there were luckily, no serious injuries.
“Both vehicles were just single occupants so only the drivers in there and both were able to get out and have been taken to hospital just as a precaution, but they appear to be fine,” says Cst. Jan Malinosky of Victoria Police
no word on whether any charges are pending.
