Two passengers suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries
A 71-year-old man has died after two-vehicle crash on the Trans-Canada Highway in Chemainus last week.
Police say a Purolator truck was heading northbound on the highway when witnesses say a GMC Sonoma pick-up truck made a left hand turn in front of it.
The driver of the pickup was originally taken to Victoria General Hospital in critical condition but police say he died from his injuries on Tuesday.
His two passengers, a 43-year-old woman and 49-year-old man were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The Purolator driver wasn’t injured.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and charges haven’t been laid.
