Victoria book lovers were in seventh heaven today, as the annual Times Colonist Book Sale kicked off.
Hundreds of people waited in a line that circled the block surrounding the Victoria Curling Club, hoping to be among the first in the door.
But despite the wait, there were few complaints to be heard as many in line took the opportunity to do, what else, read a book.
Once inside, book lovers had thousands of choices.
Organizers say this year’s sale attracted more donations that ever.
The Times Colonist Book Sale continues Sunday at the Curling Club on Quadra Street from 9am to 5pm.
