Sidney have a reputation as a bit of a sleepy town, but it was full of excitement Sunday for the third annual Sidney Bed Races.
Beacon Avenue became a race track for up to 20 teams of bed racers, with teams dressed in wild costumes as they sped down the track.
All of them wereafter the coveted Bed Race Trophy. Judges were also on hand to rate the best costumes in the field. CHEK News’ own Ed Bain was on hand, representing the “Sheet Eds” team.
The Bed Race raises funds for palliative care at Rest Haven Lodge.
