Those looking to travel between West Vancouver and Nanaimo and plan on taking the ferry should expect delays this evening.
BC Ferries said on its website that the Queen of Oak Bay vessel is currently running more than 30 minutes behind schedule on their Horseshoe Bay–Departure Bay route following a medical emergency on board.
“Please be advised that the Queen of Oak Bay is currently operating 33 minutes behind schedule due to a medical emergency experienced by one of our customers, which required immediate attention,” said BC Ferries. “We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience you may experience as a result of this delay.”
