Falling revenue blamed
BC Ferries says plans are underway to remove arcades from its vessels because they aren’t making any money.
The corporation says people are now bringing their own electronic devices on board, cutting into revenues from the arcades.
The arcade from the Queen of Oak Bay, which sails between Horseshoe Bay and Departure Bay, has already been removed.
The others will be taken out as the vessels come in for upgrades.
The spaces will be used for more seating or expanding the size of gift shops.
