WATCH: Victoria Tartan Parade makes its way to B.C. Legislature
The streets of Victoria were filled with bagpipes, kilts and all things Scottish on Saturday as the Victoria Tartan Parade marched to the B.C. Legislature.
The annual parade started in Centennial Square and then made its way down Government Street, to the delight of those watching.
It features pipe bands and more than 100 pipers and drummers along with highland dancers, members of local clans and heavy event athletes.
The parade is held in advance of next weekend’s Victoria Highland Games and Celtic Festival at Topaz Park.
The 153rd Highland Games run from May 21st to 23rd and will draw thousands of people from all over the world for high-level competition, caber tossing and of course, lots of Scottish dancing and music.
