Teams of adventure racers filled Beaver Lake Sunday, all for a good cause.
‘Power to Play 2016’ is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for Power to Be. The Victoria-based non-profit helps children with barriers experience wilderness adventures.
Forty teams navigated 15 different challenges, some on land and some in the water, over a 10-kilometre track.
The adventure race had prizes for fastest time and team spirit.
Last year, the organization helped 1,200 youth and their families get outdoors. This year’s fundraising goal was $150,000.
