A Victoria Police officer was injured and officers were forced to use a taser to subdue a man in an incident this weekend.

Victoria Police responded to reports of an erratic driver in downtown at about 9 o’clock Saturday night.
They located a black truck after it pulled a u-turn in the 500 block of Herald Street. Officers were able to box it in.
A police sergeant on scene described the driver and lone occupant of the truck as non-compliant.
Officers broke the passenger side window, used pepper spray, and then deployed a taser.
The man was forced out of the vehicle and onto the ground.
While subduing the man, an officer was either punched or kicked in the face and may have suffered a broken nose.
Video shows the officer spitting blood.
He was treated by paramedics on scene.
The driver, who was barefoot and appeared to be in his pajamas, was also treated on scene and was released into police custody.
There is no word at this point on any charges.
