Last month marked the 25th anniversary of Michael Dunahee’s disappearance.
Today, hundreds of people came out to keep the hope alive.
There was a large turnout today in Esquimalt for the annual Michael Dunahee ‘Keep the Hope Alive Run and Walk’ in support of Child Find B.C.
Michael was just 4 years old when he vanished from the playground at Blanshard Elementary School on March 24th, 1991.
Thousands of tips have come in over the years, but the case remains one of the largest unsolved mysteries in Canadian history.
Crystal Dunahee, Michael’s mother, says she’ll continue to run to support missing children.
“It started the first year on the anniversary of Michael’s disappearance.
It was started by a friend of ours and we’ve just continued doing it.
And we’ll continue to do it as long as people continue to come out and help support missing children.”
The Dunahee case remains an active file with Victoria Police.
Anyone with information should call Victoria Police or Crime Stoppers.
